Setting a Flex ItemRenderer with AS3 Code

I searched for “AS3 Itemrenderer” hoping to see if people create itemRenderer components outside of the flex framework and I got this as my SECOND result, I find that very impressive considering I would imagine Adobe has loads of kak published on the subject but still your awesome god like powers somehow have this coming up second!
